Hello Swenson weekend workshop attendee,

 

    The time has finally arrived!  David will be presenting his weekend workshop October 6-8, and we're looking forward to a special weekend.

    The session times are as follows: Friday evening (6:30-8:30), Saturday morning (9:00-noon), Saturday afternoon (2:30-5:00) and Sunday afternoon (1:00-3:30).  

    The workshop will take place at the gymnasium of the First Presbyterian Church of Maitland (where David came two years ago).  After my signature in this email, you will find the address and driving directions to the workshop (and the Mount Vernon Inn).

    Please do keep these two phone numbers -- 407-227-4197 and 407-733-0830.  If you get lost, these are the numbers to call to get a live person to help steer you right.  If you call our normal studio phone number, all you will get will be an answering machine.

    If you are looking at the church, the gymnasium is on the right side of the building.  The parking lot begins to the right of the gymnasium, and continues for a long way -- there will be plenty of parking spaces for this event.

    Please bring your mat and any props you use in your practice as we will not be providing them.  Please arrive at least 10 minutes early to each session out of respect for David.

    We will be selling David's book and DVDs, along with mats, bags, and other items.  If you wish to make purchases, please bring checks or cash, as we will not be able to accept credit cards in this location.

Address and Parking

The workshop takes place at the First Presbyterian Church of Maitland, 341 North Orlando Avenue, Maitland, FL 32751.   

 

Directions To The Workshop

I-4, coming from the west:  Get off at exit 90A (Maitland Blvd.); you’ll turn right onto Maitland Blvd (hwy. 414). Stay on it about two miles where it ends in a cloverleaf taking you to highway 17-92 (also known as Orlando Avenue).  Turn left on 17-92 (going south).  In less than a mile on the right you’ll see a 7-11 and immediately after that is the church.

17-92, coming from the south:  Take 17-92 north through Winter Park, past Lee Road, under the railroad overpass, past the Enzian Theater, past Steak and Ale and past Walgreens and you’ll come to the intersection with Horatio Avenue.  Just north of Horatio on the left you’ll see the church.  Make a U-turn just after it.

 

17-92, coming from the north:  Take 17-92 south into Maitland (you’ll see the “City of Maitland” display just before you cross under Maitland Boulevard).  In less than a mile, on the right, immediately after the 7-11 is the church.

 

From the Mt. Vernon Inn:  Take 17-92 north (turn right coming out of the Inn) a little more than 2 miles.  You will have passed Winter Park Village, Lee Road, a railroad overpass, the Enzian Theater, Stake and Ale, and Walgreens, and the intersection with Horatio Avenue. Just north of Horatio on the left you’ll see the church.  Make a U-turn just after it.

 

Directions To The Mount Vernon Inn

I-4:  Take the Fairbanks exit, exit 87, and go east on Fairbanks (turn right if coming from the west, turn left if coming from the east).  In exactly a mile you’ll come to the intersection with Highway 17-92 also known as Orlando Avenue.  Turn left.  In one third of a mile on the right you’ll see the Mount Vernon Inn.  The address is 110 South Orlando Avenue, Winter Park, FL 32789.
